David Collins accepts UNC's football offer

David Collins, a 6-7, 290-pound offensive tackle at East Forsyth High School, became the ninth member of North Carolina’s 2009 recruiting class Thursday night, the university’s second commitment from Forsyth County in less than a month. East Carolina also offered him a scholarship, and South Carolina was recruiting him. He is the sixth in-state player in the Tar Heels’ 2009 class and joins tailback Hunter Furr from Mount Tabor.
