Tar Heels set for first test

North Carolina has become accustomed to Sweet 16 appearances. In fact, no team has been one of the final 16 teams in the country more often than the Tar Heels. For UNC, one of – if not the – elite programs in college basketball, the season really, truly is measured starting with today's East Region semifinal. The Tar Heels, the top overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, will face No. 4 seed Washington State at 7:27 p.m. in Charlotte. (Rocky Mount Telegram)
