MATTHEW MORIARTY: Coming to Terms With Tar Heel Disaster
I'm still trying to make sense of That Game (said with disdain) in San Antonio Saturday night. I haven't missed a televised Carolina game all season, and I still can't understand how that was the same team I've been following all year. I don't like the common athlete euphemisms, "We just weren't ready to play," "We didn't come out with any fire," and the all-time great "We were flat," which are all just ways of saying, "Normally, we'd own you, but you're so bad we didn't take you seriously and stayed up late playing PlayStation and drinking and now we're hung over and have blisters on our thumbs."
