Carter Carries Nets to 12th Straight Win
The New Jersey Nets squeaked into the playoffs last year largely on the efforts of Vince Carter, who was acquired in a midseason trade with Toronto. Carter has done his best lately to get the Nets back to the postseason, averaging 26 points in New Jersey's current 12-game winning streak. The veteran guard scored 33 of his 43 points in the second half to help the Nets overcome Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat 90-78 Sunday night. (Houston Chronicle)
