David Noel Wins NCAA Slam Dunk Contest

The favorite dunk attempted by North Carolina's David Noel was the windmill that won a contest. "Everything else was just for show," the Tar Heels senior said. Everything was for show Thursday night at Hinkle Fieldhouse, but the competitors and about 7,000 fans enjoyed the 3-point and slam dunk contest to its fullest. Noel beat James White of Cincinnati in the final round. White wowed the crowd early with a windmill dunk after he took off from the free throw line, Michael Jordan style. (Indianapolis Star)
