Last Gasp: UNC career over, Noel has few regrets

At some point, Noel said, he will look back and realize just how much fun he had in taking a team with four freshmen to 23 wins and two NCAA Tournament games. Noel began his career as a walk-on for Matt Doherty, then the UNC coach, but ended it under Roy Williams. If not for Williams, Noel said, he might not have had a productive career. "He's definitely been like that father figure I've never had," Noel said. (Winston-Salem Journal)
