UNC, State bow out


North Carolina’s young team showed it could handle adversity Friday when it came from behind to beat Murray State in the opening round of the NCAA tournament. Sunday, in the second round against George Mason, the Tar Heels weren’t nearly as adept at handling prosperity. After jumping out to an early 14-point lead and looking as though they were ready to roll impressively into the Sweet 16, things suddenly turned sour. (Fayetteville Observer)
