Pro or college, Derrik Gibson's future has plenty of promise

Superior speed. A cannon of a right arm. Offers to play for the Boston Red Sox organization and the University of North Carolina are on the table. It's no wonder Derrik Gibson was chosen Player of the Year. After being selected by the Red Sox in the second round of Major League Baseball's draft, Gibson, who had previously signed with North Carolina, has until Aug. 15 to decide if he will join the Tar Heels or the Red Sox.
