Carolina fans paint the coliseum blue


It took North Carolina's basketball fans all of 31 hours to turn Greensboro Coliseum into a version of the Smith Center. By the time the Tar Heels played their first game in the 53rd ACC basketball tournament -- 7 p.m. Friday -- they had a home-court atmosphere. Carolina needed the moral support, too. In a 79-67 victory over Virginia, the second-seeded Heels were pushed extensively. (Raleigh News & Observer)
