Heels Hold Off Cavs to Advance to Sat.


It wasn’t as easy as a 45-point whipping just nine days prior, but No. 10 North Carolina still managed to handle a pesky Virginia squad on Friday to advance to the 2006 ACC Tournament semifinal round on Saturday. The Tar Heels’ 79-67 win over the Cavaliers was their eighth in a row and 11th in 12 games. (Inside Carolina)
