Tar Heels gain a lot with win

There were victory spoils galore for North Carolina's basketball team at the end of an 83-72 win over Wake Forest on Sunday. The Tar Heels are all but a dead lock for an NCAA Tournament bid. It doesn't end there, however. Barring a full-blown collapse in the last four regular-season games, the Heels almost certainly will not have to play in the first round of the expanded conference tournament in Greensboro.
