Tar Heels were ripe for a licking


If Clemson was ever going to end its 0-for-forever misery on North Carolina’s home floor, Saturday was the time. The Tar Heels had played a road game Thursday night, leaving them 43 hours to travel and prepare, and their next opponent, Duke, surely slipped into their collective thinking. Yet, they knocked the Tigers out in the first three minutes. The play-by-play reads like a horror story for Clemson. (Charlotte Observer)
