Game, not streak on Tigers’ minds
Posted Feb 4, 2006
Not long ago, former North Carolina Sen. Jesse Helms proposed the construction of a zoo in Chapel Hill. Maybe he did so because he knew a zoo was the only way the community would be able to view live Tigers. After all, the specimens that visit from Clemson typically roll over and die after 40 minutes of exposure. What is the reason behind Clemson’s woes in Chapel Hill? A loss by the Tigers today would extend North Carolina’s streak against its visitors to 52 inside the city limits. Is it voodoo? Fate? Dick Vitale?
