Tar Heels Freshmen Are Making Their Bid

With both teams unranked entering Saturday's game at the Dean Smith Center, the UNC's matchup against Arizona provided them an opportunity to preen for the N.C.A.A. tournament selection committee down the road. With an 86-69 blowout of the Wildcats, the Tar Heels appeared to take a step toward making the tournament field and defending their national title.
