Tar Heels to play Wildcats today

The game will be the first of four between the programs, with next year's game set for Tucson. North Carolina and Arizona have played each other five times, the last time in the 1997 Final Four semifinals in Indianapolis. Arizona won 66-58 in what proved to be the last game for Coach Dean Smith, who retired seven months later, before the start of the next season. (Winston-Salem Journal)
