State has edge, but nothing's certain
Before the first shot is taken today in the Smith Center, it's important to remember that neither North Carolina nor N.C. State originally was seen as a strong contender for the ACC regular-season basketball championship. But it sure doesn't feel that way now. With once-beaten State at No. 13 in The Associated Press poll and twice-beaten Carolina at No. 25, this game looks like a legitimate headliner. (Raleigh News & Observer)
