Cignetti reported to be new Offensive Coordinator
Posted Jan 1, 2006
Fresno State offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti Jr. -- whose brother, Curt, is the tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator for the Wolfpack -- told the Fresno Bee on Saturday that he is traveling to Chapel Hill today in order to meet with North Carolina coach John Bunting and athletics director Dick Baddour about the Tar Heels' vacancy at offensive coordinator. Cignetti told the Bee "the job's not accepted until you sign the contract; I haven't signed anything yet." However, Fresno State head coach Pat Hill told the Bee he expects Cignetti to accept the job, and that the 40-year-old has been offered a three-year contract.
