Friendship endures incident

Atlanta Falcons tight end Alge Crumpler knows what some Carolina Panthers and many of their fans think of him, but he said Wednesday that he wasn't at all concerned about that, as long as he and Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers were straight. And that, Crumpler said, happened shortly after Peppers returned to the field on Dec. 4 after spraining his ankle when Crumpler cut-blocked him. (Raleigh News & Observer)
