Marvin Sanders earns extension

Marvin Sanders plans to coach football at North Carolina several more seasons. The Tar Heels' energetic defensive coordinator, who said he received interest from two Big 12 schools, has agreed to a new contract and a "significant" pay raise, UNC athletics director Dick Baddour said on Monday. Baddour said details of the contract won't be released until they are officially approved, but the deal is for more than one year. (Raleigh News & Observer)
