Football Heels nearly reached 'promised land'

The offense and defense swapped roles this year, with the defense carrying the overwhelming share of the load after struggling for the past three seasons. UNC improved to 45th-best out of 117 teams in total defense. The Tar Heels finished worse than 100 the previous three seasons. (Tar Heel Daily)
