UNC's 'Tranq' retires for good

Offense has been far from John Bunting's chief concern during the past five years. For the next few weeks, it will be the North Carolina football coach's top priority. Bunting announced Thursday that Gary Tranquill is retiring and will not return as UNC's offensive coordinator next season. Tranquill said during the season that this year would be his last -- the same sentiment he shared last season -- but he stuck with it this time. (Durham Herald-Sun)
