Hokies romp past Tar Heels

Virginia Tech slammed home three touchdowns in the third quarter last night for a 30-3 victory at Lane Stadium that slammed the door shut on North Carolina's season. Using a punishing ground game behind tailbacks Cedric Humes and Branden Ore, Virginia Tech pounded UNC into submission and clinched a spot in the first ACC football-championship game.
