UNC wins with ease

North Carolina didn't need any last-seconds heroics last night to win its second basketball game and stay unbeaten in the young season. Playing smothering defense and running the break smoothly, North Carolina crushed Cleveland State 112-55 at the Smith Center. Coach Roy Williams watched his young team, again starting three freshmen, grow and gain confidence after a shaky opener last Saturday night. (Winston-Salem Journal)
