Tar Heels escape against Duke
The victory sent UNC's 24 seniors out on a positive note in their final home game, and it kept alive the team's bowl hopes. The Tar Heels (5-5, 4-3 ACC) head to Blacksburg, Va., next week, needing a win against No. 7 Virginia Tech to qualify for a postseason berth. The Blue Devils almost didn't let UNC get that far, providing more resistance than the Tar Heels expected. (Durham Herald-Sun)
