Ralph Friedgen came to Maryland before the 2001 season and has proceeded to make life miserable for the Tar Heels. He's 3-0 against Carolina and his teams have cumulatively outscored the Heels 141-35. The last two wins have been by a combined score of 118-28.But those games were against much more porous Tar Heel defenses. Already this season Carolina has redeemed itself for a poor previous performance against Utah and their high-octane offense. They'll try to do the same thing against Maryland. (Tar Heel Blue)
