Two teams hope to avoid pitfalls

When the Tar Heels travel to soggy Miami on Saturday for a surprisingly critical ACC Coastal Division matchup, each team will be trying to avoid the pitfalls of one of the ‘games.’ For North Carolina, the challenge will be to maintain the stifling defense and the don’t-screw-it-up offense that led to a nifty 7-5 win against then-No. 23 Virginia. The No. 6 Hurricanes have a Nov. 5 appointment with third-ranked Virginia Tech and might make the mistake of taking this weekend’s tilt lightly. (Daily Tar Heel)
