UNC's defense goes from terrible to terrific
Astonishing as it was, North Carolina played a defensive game as thoroughly, fundamentally, physically and darn-near perfect as it could be on Saturday against bewildered Virginia. In college football, be surprised at nothing. Virginia figured to swagger into Kenan Stadium, fresh from its upset of previously unbeaten Florida State and having owned the Tar Heels the last three seasons. The swagger, however, was all about UNC's defense. (Durham Herald-Sun)
