Tar Heels win a strange one
The score was appropriate for baseball. The most memorable kick of the day came courtesy of a wide receiver. And a holding penalty against one team turned out to cost the other a chance to win. Other than that, nothing too unusual happened Saturday afternoon at Kenan Stadium. The North Carolina football team rebounded from its worst loss in 93 years to beat No. 23 Virginia 7-5. That's right. UNC, which allowed a school-record 69 points in a 55-point loss at Louisville two weeks ago, kept a Top 25 team out of the end zone. (Durham Herald-Sun)
