UNC upsets Virginia in defensive battle

A week after shredding Florida State for 306 passing yards, Virginia quarterback Hagans managed just 109 against the Tar Heels - the same Tar Heels who looked helpless in surrendering a school-record 69 points two weeks ago at Louisville. The difference, North Carolina coaches and plays said, was the team's attention to detail and containing Hagans. (Kinston Free Press)
