Tar Heels recover from blowout during bye
A year ago, the North Carolina football team's bye week was perfectly timed, falling just after a bruising and demoralizing blowout loss at Utah and just before Miami's visit. The Tar Heels hope that, coming off their 69-14 disintegration Oct. 8 at Louisville, the time off will help them regroup for another strong post-bye push with six ACC games to play. They'll need to win at least four of them to qualify for a bowl. (Greensboro News & Record)
