Carolina hasn't hosted a ranked Virginia team since 1999. That was the memorable 20-17 season opening Tar Heel loss when a stiff wind allowed the Cavaliers to kick a last-second field goal and win the game. The two times before that when UVA came into Kenan ranked, they left with a defeat (a 22-17 Carolina win in 1995 and a 27-7 Tar Heel victory in 1992).
