Tommy Richardson shines in role as captain

Kicked out of Hialeah-Miami Lakes High because of disciplinary problems and poor grades after his freshman year, UNC linebacker Tommy Richardson became president of the student body as a senior at North Miami Beach High. His turnaround led him to North Carolina, where he will lead the Tar Heels today against Louisville. Richardson is peeking at Maryland linebacker D'Qwell Jackson atop the ACC tackle standings and plotting to catch him. (Charlotte Observer)
