Strong defensive effort leads Tar Heels to victory


Ever since last season’s embarrassing 46-16 loss to Utah, the astounding 669 yards allowed in that matchup had hung over North Carolina’s defensive unit like the overcast on a gloomy day. In Saturday’s rematch, the play of this same group once again proved to be the reason for the game’s outcome. But this time, there was cause for celebration. (Daily Tar Heel)
