Penalties, Badgers' defense stymie Tar Heels
The popping of the pads said otherwise, but there was no mistake about what game was going on at Kenan Stadium on Saturday night. Not tackle football. Flag football. Wisconsin and North Carolina traded blows, hit for hit and penalty for penalty. In the end, the Tar Heels had more infractions. It was a big reason why they ended up with fewer points in a 14-5 setback before 60,000 fans in their home opener. (Durham Herald-Sun)
