Byron Sanders' family hit by Katrina in Gulfport, Miss.
"It was so big," Sanders said of the storm. "I watched it on the news, and I was just worried about it the whole time. I was calling them during the storm -- cell phones worked during the storm -- and just checking up on them. My mom was sounding kind of nervous. But they went through Hurricane Camille and all that, so they were doing fine." The Sanders family home -- which had endured hurricanes Camille, Georges and Ivan, among others -- wasn't so lucky.
