Byron Sanders glued to coverage of Katrina on TV

Byron Sanders admits that it has been difficult to sleep this week. The senior forward on the North Carolina men's basketball team has been glued to the television set to follow the fortunes of his hurricane-ravaged hometown. Hurricane Katrina ripped through Gulfport, Miss., this week, damaging the roof of the house Sanders' parents have lived in for 30 years. Sanders said his family survived injury, but they remain in southern Mississippi without power. (New Bern Sun Journal)
