UNC gets good news: Recruit Michael Copeland makes grade

As soon as Michael Copeland gets the nod from the NCAA Clearinghouse, the 6-foot-8, 235-pound forward from Winston-Salem will join the North Carolina basketball team's incoming freshman class. Copeland said Monday that he received A's in his last two correspondence courses, grades he needed to qualify for a scholarship to UNC. "I'm real excited," he said. "It's like a dream come true, man. It's so good." (Greensboro News & Record)
