Ohio running back Tony Elzy says he'll play for Tar Heels

North Carolina reached into the heart of Big 10 territory yesterday to land a commitment from Tony Elzy, a 5-10, 205-pound running back from Warren, Ohio. Elzy, who will be a senior at John F. Kennedy High School, became the 18th member of UNC's 2006 recruiting class. He picked UNC over Pittsburgh and also was offered grants-in-aid by Maryland, Bowling Green, Marshall and Akron, and he also was recruited by Boston College and Syracuse.
