New Plans: UNC will be forced to rely on first-year players

North Carolina's blueprint for the 2005-06 basketball season called for its four freshmen to learn their roles from the returning veterans, but those plans have been shelved. Now the freshmen will be pressed into action from the first tip-off, whether they're ready for the ACC or not. Coach Roy Williams will have to rely on them significantly because seven players, including four with remaining eligibility, have left the program since the Tar Heels won the NCAA championship in April.
