It's way too early to judge
The objective in college football recruiting is not to assemble prospects as quickly as possible, but rather to assemble the best prospects possible. That should be kept in mind when comparing North Carolina's 19 early commitments to N.C. State's three. State, Carolina or any other major- college football program could gather a full complement of commitments today, if it wanted. But not all of those recruits would necessarily be good college players. (Raleigh News & Observer)
