Falcons Cut N.C. State's McClendon

The fumbling problems that plagued T.A. McClendon at North Carolina State have cost him his shot at the National Football League. The Atlanta Falcons released McClendon on Thursday after just three days of training camp. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Web site describes one instance earlier this week in which McClendon pounded the ground with his fist after fumbling in team drills, the second straight day he'd lost the ball.
