Former UNC soccer player Tim Merritt finds home with D.C. United
Tim Merritt had scrimmaged more times than he could count, but in Baltimore last winter, the North Carolina soccer star knew this time was different. Along with other top college players from around the country, Merritt would be showing his stuff to scouts and coaches -- and he had only one chance to prove he could make the big jump to the pros.
