Whirlwind start to Marvin Williams era

Atlanta's newest sports icon came strolling down the hotel escalator around 8:40 a.m. in a pinstriped blue suit, lugging his own bags and with his backpack strapped to his broad shoulders. After posing for a picture with one fan and signing autographs for another he climbed into the van for a whirlwind ride that wouldn't stop for hours. (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
