Dwight Howard could have had an NCAA Championship ring

Dwight Howard would have an NCAA championship ring. Under the new NBA draft-eligibility rule that will require prospects to be 19 and one year out of high school, Howard could not have been the first pick in the 2004 draft, which he was. Yesterday Howard said that had he been prohibited from NBA employment as an 18-year-old, he probably would have spent a year at North Carolina. "They didn't need me," the Orlando Magic forward said of the Tar Heels, who won the 2005 NCAA title. (Richmond Times-Dispatch)
