Gators Shut Down Tar Heels, 5-2

Right-hander Tommy Boss tossed a complete game, three-hitter and No. 7 national seed Florida scored five runs in the sixth inning to claim a 5-2 victory over North Carolina Saturday in a winners' bracket game of the NCAA Gainesville Regional at McKethan Stadium. The Tar Heels will now face Notre Dame - a 7-4 winner over Stetson Saturday afternoon.
