Long trips for UNC, State, ECU

The North Carolina, N.C. State and East Carolina baseball teams will begin their quests in the NCAA baseball tournament far from home today when play begins at 16 regional sites. UNC will face Notre Dame at 4 p.m. in Gainesville, Fla. UNC, was 24-5, 11-2 in the ACC and first in the conference standings before going 3-8-1 in their last four series against ranked ACC rivals.
