In football, there’s no such thing as pitching a perfect game, but the Tar Heels came close. North Carolina has not played a game as complete in all phases in many years. This was their first win out of the state of North Carolina since beating Arizona State on the road in 2002, their first win of 30 points or more since a 38-3 victory over Clemson in 2001, and the first time they’ve started 2-0 since 2000.
