The University of North Carolina men's golf team opened its 2008-09 season with a fourth-place finish at the rain-shortened Maryland Intercollegiate. Carolina carded a one-under-par 283 in the second round after posting a 291 earlier in the day for a six-over 574 total. Arkansas ran away from the 18-team field firing a blistering 24-under 544 with two rounds of 12-under 272. (Tar Heel Blue)
