UNC swimmer remains in critical condition


North Carolina swimmer Allison Barnes remains in critical condition at UNC Hospitals after becoming ill at practice on Tuesday, according to a statement released by the university Saturday. Barnes, a sophomore from Bel Air, Md., was pulled from the water Tuesday afternoon by coaches, who then called 911, UNC athletics spokesman Steve Kirschner said at the time.
