Tar Heel swimmer off ventilator


UNC swimmer Allison Barnes remains in critical condition but is showing signs of stabilizing at UNC Hospitals after becoming ill at practice Tuesday. Keith Barnes released a statement tonight on his daughter's progress that said: "Allison remains in critical condition but we are encouraged by being able to announce that she has been removed from the ventilator and is now breathing on her own."
